20th July (2pm) - “Talking Pants!” (£5.00)
Stand-Up Comedy For Kids (And Their Keepers)
Talking Pants!” completed a staggering 26 performances at the Gilded Balloon at the Edinburgh Festival in August and received five stars from the Scotsman.
“Chucklevision” writer and children’s author, Ian Billings, erupts with a riotous explosion of top-notch, toe-tapping, mind-bending, buttock-clenching kids comedy. A jam-stuffed giggle-fest with bags of gags and tons of puns. A swirling whirl of bite-size sound-bites of fun! Plus lots of standing-up!
How do dinosaurs scratch their heads? What do punctuation marks sound like? What happens when you lose your belly-button? These questions, and a couple more, may be answered in “Talking Pants!”
Ian is no stranger to entertaining youngsters, having worked as a comedy scriptwriter for the last 21 years. To date, he has penned pantomime scripts for such celebrities as Little and Large, Cannon and Ball, Sylvester McCoy, Linda Robson and Denise Nolan, to name but a few. He has also written the stage scripts for numerous touring productions including The Wind in the Willows, Alice in Wonderland, and Pinocchio.
