Arts Centre Manager
The new (2007) Ropetackle Arts Centre in Shoreham-by-Sea, has become established as one of the most successful arts venues in the region, with a wide ranging programme of performance and community activities.
The Manager’s role will be to implement the Ropetackle Trust’s creative vision. Responsibilities will include:
- Management of the building and equipment
- Accounting and contributing to funding and budgeting
- Management of volunteers and part time staff
- Participating in the Centre’s development
- Relationships with partner and associated organisations
- Event management, including front of house
- Joint involvement in programming and marketing
The Manager will work closely with the Trustees, volunteers and others, and will need to have good “people” skills as well as being practical and willing to work unsocial hours.
Candidates should have relevant experience, preferably in the arts.
Salary £15,000 to £20,000

We are also looking for interns at the moment to help us with our marketing campaigns, organisation of the Ropetackle festival during the Adur festival and to also help with the everyday running of the centre.
